The SSD programme
Smart Sustainable Districts (SSD) is a Climate-KIC Flagship programme working with some of the highest profile and aspirational district developments in Europe to boost resource efficiency, reduce energy consumption and address climate change challenges.

The pilot districts, selected from a wider collaborative network of European districts, will bring together some of the most advanced innovations from Climate-KIC’s network of over 200 partners.
Working across district infrastructure, transport, utilities and the built environment, SSD will address district-wide energy efficiency and resource consumption and optimise the impact of new products, technologies and services. SSD will also help to demonstrate the commercial value and market opportunities of innovative solutions for urban areas worldwide.
